RAWALPINDI: Transgender rights activists have demanded a separate entry in census data forms for the transgender people. Wajood, an association of transgender persons in Rawalpindi, has said that the government should have a separate gender entry for the transgender in the upcoming census. Wajood president Babli Malik said the Supreme Court had accepted their demand of a separate entry. She said transgender persons were one of the most underprivileged sections of the society and the government needed to empower them. She also demanded government jobs for the transgender.
