What in your collection are you most excited about?
We’re showing two collections this year, HSY Limited for Kashf Foundation and BEyourself. Each collection is uniquely different. I think what excites me the most is the concept and development behind both collections. Seeing your ideas coming to life is something that will always excite me, no matter how many times it happens.
What would your reaction be if a designer ends up showcasing a replica of your collection right before your show?
I don’t think I’ve ever had to worry about that. Our collections are always extremely detailed and have a unique story attached to them. Replicating that would not be easy.
If your phone died, whose power bank would you raid?
Always have a power pack with me, and a couple of them in my car. Staying in touch is key for me so I’m ready for all emergencies!

A bottle of water, a pack of cigarettes, and anti-stress pills!
What in your collection are you most excited about?
This year I’m not just excited about the prints and designs of the collection, but also, we are opening for Sunsilk and have done the new Sunsilk bottle. So this year my collection is sort of an ode to Sunsilk. It will also mark the return of ‘D Philosophy’. Last year my collection was a lot more elegant and sophisticated, but this year, I’m back to the quirky style of the brand.
What would your reaction be if a designer ends up showcasing a replica of your collection right before your show?
I wouldn’t be surprised, and I’ll just take it as a compliment! It’s happened to me before.
How do you handle model tantrums or the drama backstage?
When we are backstage I’m the only model, and I’m the diva so no one is throwing tantrums in front of me!
If your phone died, whose power bank would you raid?
I’ll just look for a charger. I’m not that tech savvy, and honestly I’ll be more than happy if my phone dies for a bit!

Bach Rescue Remedy for the nerves, my mobile charger, and safety pins.
What in your collection are you most excited about?
The accessories.
What songs can we expect to hear at your show/who will be doing the music for your show?
My husband Buzzy has done the music — you can expect some remixes and the finale song is a fantastic find!
How do you handle model tantrums or the drama backstage?
I just ignore it.

Nothing, just go with the flow and slay them with my original collection.

Haven’t been any yet! If it does happen, I’d chuck them out from the show.

The collection is very elegant and sophisticated, and the fact that I’m doing something so different this time is very exciting to me.

I’d be like ‘Oh no, not again, not during PSFW at least!’. This has become just another day in our lives.

We absolutely love every piece from our collection. For us modesty is dead!

We won’t react much! Originality speaks for itself.

Throw a bigger tantrum. And as for the drama, we’re usually too busy to notice.

What in your collection are you most excited about?
I didn’t show last season and I really regretted it so I am most excited about showing. Also this season, my collection is a complete 180-degree change from last time.
What would your reaction be if a designer ends up showcasing a replica of your collection right before your show?
I’d try to restrain myself but I am very confrontational and the designer might not get to go home that night.

Team Sania Maskatiya, Osman Rehman from Lotus, and Yousaf Shahbaz for moral support.
Who will be doing the music for your show?
Hoping for DJ Shah to do yet another killer soundtrack for us! I usually sit with him, and together put together a soundtrack consisting of popular music.
How do you handle model tantrums or the drama backstage?
I don’t anymore. If someone is having a tantrum I just don’t deal with it.

Not worried because that could never happen. Of course the cuts can be, but it has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Thank God we have never had to deal with any tantrums. All the models are extremely professional nowadays!

It would have to be Sana’s, as she is always by my side.

I am showing after two years so very anxious at the moment but I guess just excited to have Sublime back on the runway!

I am very clear and firm backstage; don’t like to loose it so usually ask someone to step in.

Backstage, Tech booth or many of my organised friends in the industry, someone always comes through! Phew.

Cell phone, my team and a pair of shoes that is not too high and not too low.

The silhouette. It is very sporty, with the opulent and decadent Muse elements.
Who will be doing the music for your show?
Most probably hear Major Lazer and Brian Ferry’s Jealous Guy.
What would your reaction be if a designer ends up showcasing a replica of your collection right before your show?
I would naturally be very irritated and annoyed but Moeed would calm me down by saying: “it doesn’t matter, we are the best.” Then I would get even angrier with him for calming me down.

My drama usually over-shadows their little tantrums.

What in your collection are you most excited about?
There will be no floral patterns this year, and instead the luxury pret collection is mostly solids, very minimalist and very wearable. I’m very excited to be doing something different this time!

I usually don’t react to things, but of course it would be very upsetting. However, what can one do!
