LAHORE:

The government will ensure that the benefits of the reduction in fuel prices reach all citizens, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday.

He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers. He welcomed the reduction in petroleum prices.

“The Provincial Price Control Committee should take steps for reducing prices of essential commodities at the same ratio of the reduction in petroleum products. The government departments concerned should also take measures for reducing transport fares,” he said.

The chief minister said that the government departments should work in a coordinated manner to ensure the availability of petroleum products at new rates. “There should be no complaint about the non-availability of petroleum products at any petrol pump,” he said.

MNAs Muhammad Moin Wattoo, Rao Muhammad Ajmal Khan and Tariq Iqbal Chaudhry and MPA Manshaullah Butt were present in the meeting.
