Fuel tank explosion: Eight people suffer burn injuries
All eight passengers, including the boat operator, suffered burn injuries
HARIPUR:
At least eight people suffered burn injuries when the boat they were travelling in caught fire near Khanpur Dam on Tuesday. A police official told The Express Tribune workers of a local cement manufacturing unit decided to go to Khanpur Dam on Monday afternoon. “They hired a boat,” he said. “However, when the boat started moving, its fuel tank exploded.” As a result, all eight passengers, including the boat operator, suffered burn injuries. “The injured were identified as Zaman Sher, Hazrat Bilal, Muhammad Yusuf, Nabi Jan, Waseem Nawaz, Habibullah, Suleman and Nazakat,” the official said.
