hey said those suffering from chest-related problems, asthma and heart ailment were more vulnerable to swine flu
SARGODHA:
Swine flu is a contagious but curable disease, said speakers at an awareness-raising seminar organised by Sargodha Medical College on Thursday. They said those suffering from chest-related problems, asthma and heart ailment were more vulnerable to swine flu. Principal Nazra Sultana said that prevention was the best strategy to avoid swine flu. She said less rain and a prolonged dry spell spread such viruses. She said a separate cell had been set up at the DHQ Hospital to deal with swine flu cases. Patients are diagnosed and provided relevant treatment at the cell, she said. “Children between six months and five years of age and those above 60 years are more likely to catch the virus,” she said. Some of its symptoms are influenza, headache, mild fever and bleeding from the mouth and nose, the principal said.
