Recruitment: PPSC chairman calls on governor

The government is taking steps to ensure upholding of merit in recruitments, Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said on Tuesday. He was talking to Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Chairman Lt Gen (r) Sajjad Akram, who called on him along with members and secretaries of the commission. Akram submitted the annual report of the commission for the year 2015. He briefed the governor about the overall performance and improvement in the working of commission. The governor said that candidates for government jobs who belonged to rural areas, especially south Punjab, should be encouraged. “They must be encouraged to avail all the opportunities to grow. It is good to hear that the ratio of women selected through the PPSC is improving,” he said.
