Cases Against Owners: Private schools threaten protest

APPSMA said that they will begin protesting against the provincial government if the FIRs against are not withdrawn

RAWALPINDI: The private school teachers association has threatened to protests against the Punjab government, if the cases are not withdrawn against owners of private schools. All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) Rawalpindi President Abrar Ahmed said that on February 1, the government signed an agreement with representatives of the association stating that the government would withdraw all the FIRs and notices issued to the private schools relating to security arrangements. APPSMA said that they will begin protesting against the provincial government if the FIRs against are not withdrawn, a news release said. Ahmed said if the FIRs are not withdrawn, the association will begin a protest across the country and close all schools. He added that the police was continuing to raid private schools in Punjab and harass their owners over inappropriate security arrangements.
