Antelope incursion: Nilgai from India crosses into Pakistan

A senior wildlife department official said the movement of wildlife was expected in border areas due to weather change

LAHORE: Pakistan caught a four-legged border intruder from India on Sunday. A male blue bull popularly known as Nilgai trotted into Pakistan across the Sialkot Working Boundary. A special team of wildlife deputed for monitoring border area with the help of personnel of Pakistan Rangers caught the Asian antelope and shifted it to Chhanga Manga wildlife reserve. According to official sources, officers of Pakistan Rangers informed the wildlife officials that a blue bull has entered Pakistan from India at border area of Kanganpur in Kasur district. Acting on the information, a special team of Wildlife Department caught the Nilgai and shifted to Changa Manga. A senior wildlife department official said the movement of wildlife was expected in border areas due to weather change.
