Ghazi murder case: Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Musharraf
Islamabad’s sessions court orders authorities to produce the former military ruler in court on March 16

ISLAMABAD:
A sessions court in Islamabad issued on Saturday non-bailable arrest warrants for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf in the Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case.
Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, the cleric of the federal capital’s Lal Masjid, was killed during a confrontation between the militants and security forces in July 2007 – led by then president Musharaf.

Issuing the warrants, Additional Sessions Judge Pervez Qadir Memon ordered the concerned authorities to produce the former president in the court on March 16.
The court also reportedly dismissed Musharraf’s plea filed earlier in connection with his permanent exemption from court in the case.
Musharraf's counsel Malik Tahir, however, announced to challenge the verdict in the Islamabad High Court.
Pervez Musharraf acquitted in Akbar Bugti murder case
In another verdict on January 18, an anti-terrorism court in Quetta had acquitted Musharraf in Baloch chieftain Akbar Bugti’s killing case. Bugti was killed in the 2006 military operation.
