‘Drought-Hit’ Tharparkar: Free wheat distribution soon: govt

Some 256,000 families in Tharparkar will benefit from the aid, he informed

HYDERABAD: The free distribution of wheat in Tharparkar is set to start in a few days. Mirpurkhas commissioner Shafique Ahmed Mahesar informed in a press release issued on Monday that in the eighth phase of the free wheat distribution, each family will be given a wheat bag of 50kilogrammes. Some 256,000 families in Tharparkar will benefit from the aid, he informed. Although the government has not yet declared drought in Tharparkar, conditions are severe.
