Law And Order: Three suspects killed ‘in shootout’

Police said Ali, who was arrested on Wednesday, had led a raiding team to the hideout in Lakho Der village

LAHORE: Three robbery suspects were killed late on Thursday night in Manawan in what the police said was a shootout. The deceased were identified as Ali alias Ninety, Adeel and Hamza.  Police said Ali, who was arrested on Wednesday, had led a raiding team to the hideout in Lakho Der village. They said that on seeing the police party the suspects opened indiscriminate fire. They said one of the bullets fired by the suspects killed Ali. The police team returned fire, killing Adeel and Hamza on the spot. Four suspects managed to escape the scene. Speaking to the media after Ali’s arrest on Wednesday, CCPO Capt Amin Wains had said that he was wanted in 70 cases across the province. He said the gang had been involved in robberies at various multinational eateries in Gulberg and Defence areas.
