An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Shadbagh SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against her husband, two police officials and another man for attempting to rape her. Shamsa Bibi submitted that she had married one Arif who she said had been on drugs and was involved in several theft cases. She said that on February 10 she was asleep when she woke up to a loud noise in another room. She said when she went to the room to investigate, she found her husband, two police officials and another man drinking. “My husband forced me to drink with them. When I refused, they took me to another room… when I shouted and put up resistance, other family members, including my children, came to my rescue. After that, they left the house.”She requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against them for trying to rape her.
