Dolce Vita Home has done it again — this time, wowing us with their Restoration Living line. This line focuses on innovative chandeliers, lamps and furniture.
The best pieces have to be the chandeliers; Restoration Living brings a very unique twist to these. Everyone knows that a classy chandelier never goes out of style, and Dolce Vita takes that concept one step further by revamping classic chandeliers and transforming them into something very fashion-forward, yet with a timeless flair. They are simply perfect for both modern traditional homes and the best thing is that they will stay in style for years to come.
One piece that really stood out was this beautiful bird-cage standing lamp, which reminds you of old-school Hollywood glamour. The look and style of it made it very dramatic, but the size keeps it practical. I can imagine a dozen ways to feature this piece in your home. The steel look and the brown colour make it a truly timeless piece.
Next in line are their lamps, and there were quite a few that caught my fancy; just like the chandeliers, the lamps also had a very nice past-meets-future feel with a play of metals and edgy designs done in old school ways and I was very impressed by the whole thought process that these pieces must have required.
Bold, metallic designs were a much-needed break from the wooden lamps we get from everywhere else; it’s safe to say that we need to move on from wood and invest in metals. The colours are very neutral; shades of gold, copper and silver that will complement every room in your house.
What followed next was their furniture and it was on par with everything else in the store — bold, big pieces, done the right way and in the right materials. I saw both colour and neutral shades in the furniture and that gave it a very luxurious feel. The one couch that stood out the most was this gorgeous U-shaped sofa, exquisitely designed to give off the most luxurious, Great Gatsby-like feel.
