Confiscated: Hate material seized

The arrests would help unravel a network of militants affiliated with Al-Qaeda

Law enforcement agencies on Monday night recovered hate material from a printing press in Urdu Bazaar during a raid.


A department spokesperson said police had earlier nabbed a militant affiliated with Al-Qaeda. The spokesperson said he had disclosed information about the printing press while being interrogated.

The official said police had carried out a raid at the premises after being tipped-off. The spokesperson said a formidable amount of hate literature had been seized from the printing press during the raid. He said police had also nabbed two suspects in connection with the development.

He said they had stored the material in the basement. They had been taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation. He said the arrests would help unravel a network of militants affiliated with Al-Qaeda.
