Gunship shelling kills 21 militants in Orakzai
BAJAUR:
Security forces gunned down a suspected suicide bomber in Bajaur Agency's capital Khar while 21 militants were killed in shelling by gunship helicopters in Dabori area of Orakzai Agency on Sunday.
The suspected bomber was planning to attack near Sadiqabad railway crossing, but was gunned down by security forces before he could carry out his attack.
While in Orakzai, shelling by gunship helicopters killed 21 militants and injured 29 others. Two militant hideouts were also destroyed in the attack.
In order to avoid civilian casualties, residents were told to leave the area in the next three days.
