Tragic: House struck by lightning in Kaghan
The house was engulfed in flames and two rooms were reduced to ashes within a few minutes

A house was gutted after it was struck by lightning in Kaghan Valley on Sunday. Raja Wali, a councillor from Niral Ban village council, told the police his cousin Muhammad Yunas and his family were not inside the house when lightning struck it. Wali said as a result, there were no casualties. However, he added, the house was engulfed in flames and two rooms were reduced to ashes within a few minutes. He said the villagers carried out efforts to extinguish the fire but failed as the area lacks proper firefighting arrangements.
