Bar elections: Polls held peacefully

KALLAR SYEDAN: The Tehsil Kallar Syedan Bar Association elections were held peacefully with Advocate Raja Yasir Bashir’s winning the bar presidency. Unlike previous years, the elections were peaceful, without the various factions fighting one another. New democratic traditions were established in the tehsil, as election campaigns addressed real issues. The incumbent Bar President Advocate Sardar Muhammad Bashir Khan commended this new approach and hinted at better future relations between the judges on the bench and the lawyers. Senior civil judge of the area, Judge Nadeem Anjum Chaudhary and Judicial Magistrate Imran Yaqoob, congratulated the winning candidate and expressed their hope that the Kallar Syedan bar would do its very best to serve the cause of justice.
