KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday endorsed concerns expressed by two special rapporteurs of the United Nations regarding the Orange Line metro train. The PPP chairman said the party would not allow the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to uproot poor people from their abodes without a resettlement plan or compensation. He said the government should halt the demolitions.   “The PPP would take up the issue at every forum to protect people of Lahore who are facing displacement,” he said.  “The route of the project has been changed several times the first public hearing. Many have contested the project and pointed out procedural flaws. This project is too controversial to continue,” he said.
