SARGODHA: A man was shot dead allegedly by two of his relatives in a Bhagtanwala police precinct on Wednesday. Police said Ghulam Mukhtar, a resident of Chak 75-Sb, Kot Momin tehsil, a farmer by profession, was on his way home on Wednesday when he was stopped by two of his relatives, Alam Sher and Asad Abbas and was shot dead. Police said Mukhtar had had a dispute with some members of his family and had divorced his wife Shamim Akhtar because of it. Police said they felt that the murder was linked to that dispute and were investigating along those lines. Mukhtar’s body was taken to a hospital for post-mortem examination and was later handed over to his family for burial. Police said they had registered a case and were investigating.
