Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza extended their winning streak to 34 matches to reach the Australian Open semi-finals with victory over German-American duo Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Coco Vandeweghe on Tuesday.
Mirza also progressed to the mixed doubles’ quarter-finals along with Ivan Dodig, beating Pakistan’s Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Kazakh partner Yaroslava Shvedova 7-5, 6-2 in the second round.
Aisam and Shvedova had earlier defeated the Australian pair of Daria Gavrilova and Luke Saville 6-4, 7-6 in the first round.
