Sngpl: Rs1.66 billion collected on new connections (Business)
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has collected over Rs1.66 billion on account of urgent fee for new domestic gas connections in its 13 regions across the country.
“Around 54,487 gas connections have been provided under the category of urgent connection from February 2014 to January 2016,” official sources in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources said.
They said the company had processed 1,258 applications in Abbottabad, 3,741 in Bahawalpur, 8,056 in Faisalabad, 4,742 in Gujranwala, 363 in Gujrat, 6,603 in Islamabad, 22,849 in Lahore, 3,587 in Multan, 2,688 in Peshawar, 7,873 in Rawalpindi, 953 in Sahiwal, 2,735 in Sargodha and 1,230 in Sheikhupura.
They also said the government had given 896,458 domestic, 1,166 commercial and 93 industrial gas connections across the country.
