The constable received minor injuries when he fell from his motorcycle
KARACHI:
A policeman was injured on Monday while resisting a robbery bid within the limits of Pakistan Bazaar police station in Orangi Town area. SHO Sarfaraz said that constable Mumtaz, after withdrawing cash from a bank, was travelling on his motorcycle when two unidentified men intercepted him. Mumtaz hit the robbers and they all fell on the ground, he added. The robbers tried to overpower the policeman to snatch cash from him, but he resisted, the SHO explained. Observing that the situation was getting out of their control, the robbers fled the scene leaving behind their vehicle and weapon. The constable received minor injuries when he fell from his motorcycle and was discharged from the hospital after preliminary medical aid.
