Water Shortage: CDA urges judicious use till Feb 6
The civic agency’s water taker service will also be available to mitigate the shortage for residents, it added
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority on Saturday advised residents of the capital to use water judiciously till February 6. The advisory comes in the wake of a drastic reduction in water supply coming from the Khanpur Dam. In a statement on Saturday, a CDA spokesperson said the water supply will be reduced from 12 million gallons per day to only 5, owing to annual repair and maintenance activity being carried out on the left bank canal of the dam. The civic agency’s water taker service will also be available to mitigate the shortage for residents, it added.
