Teachers wait for offer letters
KARACHI:
Offer letters for the posts of high school and junior school teachers have yet to be given out to candidates who cleared the education department’s tests in August 2009.
They were told to receive their offer letters on March 30 from the district education office at Boulton Market but when they went to the office on Friday, they were told to come again in two to three days. DO Education Shabir Ahmed Jokhio said that the delay occurred because the verification of documents was still in process. Twenty-seven men and 126 women had qualified to teach high school while 53 men and 162 had passed the test to teach junior school.
