Re-entering society: Residential addiction rehabilitation centre to be launched

KARACHI:


AAS Recovery Centre (ARC), a residential addiction rehabilitation centre, will be launched for those who want to re-enter society as empowered, functioning, productive, and healthy individuals, following substance abuse and addiction.


ARC is the initiative of AAS Trust, an NGO that works to rehabilitate street children and underprivileged adults addicted to drugs and alcohol. Currently, they have two treatment centres for children — one for primary treatment for three months and the other for follow-up treatment for six months.

There is also a hostel for children who complete the nine-month rehabilitation programme.
