Epidemic threat: CM seeks foolproof measures to contain swine flu

LAHORE:

All possible steps should be taken for controlling swine flu, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday at a meeting of the cabinet committee on health.

He directed the committee to play an active role in controlling the disease. “An awareness campaign against swine flu should be launched. Availability of medicine for the disease should also be ensured,” he said. The chief minister said that the cabinet committee should monitor treatment facilitates being provided to swine flu patients. He said special wards should be set up for patients. He said that cabinet committee should closely monitor the measures for overcoming swine flu.
