A Turkish imam has touched hearts globally by opening the doors of his mosque to stray cats looking for warmth and shelter.
Mustafa Efe, of the Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Mosque in Istanbul, won many hearts when he posted a video of a mother cat bringing her kittens in from the street to the safety of the mosque.

Describing the cats as "our mosque’s Friday guests", Efe lets many of the stray cats stay inside the building throughout the winter months.
The imam, who is known in the city for his "good humour and diligence", frequently shares photos and videos of the mosque’s unique visitors and now other people have started doing the same.
