Snowfall: Lowari Top opens for traffic
The heavy snowfall that added to the miseries of locals led to the closure of the Top
CHITRAL:
Lowari Top opened for traffic on Sunday after 12 days. The route was closed due to heavy snowfall. The residents of Chitral expressed joy over the opening of Lowari Top and lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Army in this regard. The heavy snowfall that added to the miseries of locals led to the closure of the Top. As a result, travellers had to use Lowari Tunnel for commuting which opens for two days a week; authorities do not allow travellers and heavy vehicles to enter the tunnel owing to construction work.
