Rising death toll: Special funds set aside for Thar
To focus on high risk areas and administrate vaccines to the targeted population

Sindh health department has allocated special funds for Tharparkar district to address the current issue of newborn deaths, said Sindh health minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar.
Better health facilities are being provided to the people of the desert, he added. He directed health secretary Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo to transfer more funds to district health officers immediately to provide ambulances to the far flung areas of the province.
He also directed programme manager of the provincial hepatitis programme, Dr Khalique Shaikh, to focus on high risk areas and administrate vaccines to the targeted population.
