Strengthening ties: SMIU delegation visits China
Language is a barrier between the students of both the countries

A delegation of of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), led by SMIU vice-chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, visited Sanya University (SU), China, on Friday. During the visit, the heads of both universities agreed to encouraging students-faculty exchange programmes and jointly-organising seminars and conferences. We want to strengthen friendly relationship between the two universities and two countries, said SU vice-president Prof Zoe Che. “Language is a barrier between the students of both the countries,” said Shaikh. Hence, each university will select eight to 10 students under the student exchange programme, he explained. “We have high regards and appreciation for China, as it is time tested friend of Pakistan.” On the SMIU seminar on educational collaboration between Sindh and Hainan, he said the seminar will provide an opportunity to academia of both the countries to exchange views on both education systems.
