Human trafficking: Cases to be handed over to local police
FIA decides to refer all inquiries and cases related to human trafficking to local police.
LAHORE:
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to refer all inquires and cases related to human trafficking, in which the victims didn’t cross international borders, to local police. These cases are believed to be in the range of hundreds, The Express Tribune has learnt.
The guidelines given by the additional director general immigration after discussion with director general FIA stated that all those applications in which international borders have been crossed shall be investigated by the FIA directly.
