Snooker: Tahir, Muzammil set up final clash

Haris Tahir will take on Muzammil Khan in the final of the 1st Jubilee Insurance National U18 Junior Snooker Championship after defeating their respective opponents — Willam Laffourge and Sameerul Hasan — at a local hotel in Lahore.


With both cueists finishing as the top two players in the event, they also qualify for the IBSF U18 World Championship which will be played later this year.


Haris stormed into the final on the back of a 4-2 win over Laffourge with a scoreline of 54-49, 78-28, 37-66, 90-05, 09-62(60) and 62-15(59).

The other semi-final, which was a closely-contested affair between Muzammil and Hasan, saw Muzammil eventually triumph 4-3 with scores of 64-39, 28-112, 64-26, 68-08, 18-70, 50-60 and 62-41.
