Quick action: Two ‘kidnappers’ arrested

Police said Faisal was the secretary to Rana Ahsan Javed, an adviser to the minister for minority rights

Police on Saturday arrested two men suspected of abducting a citizen using a government vehicle. An Ahmedpur East police spokesman said Faisal, a resident of Faisalabad and his friend Rashid Iqbal, got drunk on Friday night and abducted Muhammad Zeeshan Qureshi, a resident of Ahmadpur East’s Mehmood Colony on a government vehicle. He said they used their cell phones to contact Zeeshan’s parents and demanded Rs400,000 ransom. He said police traced the numbers and arrested Faisal and Iqbal in a raid.  Police said Faisal was the secretary to Rana Ahsan Javed, an adviser to the minister for minority rights.
