“Seeing her by herself, Muhammad prevailed on her to accompany him to a room in the house where he later raped her,” Ali said.

He said he had fled after the girl had started screaming for help.

The Millat Town SHO told The Express Tribune that police had started probing the incident following the registration of a complaint.

“A police team has been constituted to nab the absconding suspect,” he said. The official expressed hope of nabbing Muhammad in the next 24 hours.

Separately, four unidentified individuals abducted a married woman from Chak 202-RB.
