PESHAWAR:
IGP Nasir Khan Durrani awarded intelligence, operational, investigation and mobile forensic unit officials of the city police for their action against militants, extortionists, kidnappers and target killers. The ceremony was held at Central Police Office on Thursday (today).

Led by SSP Operations Dr Mian Saeed from the front, these units dismantled networks of terrorists, kidnappers, extortionists and target killers.

The success

At least 272 hard-core criminals including terrorists, kidnappers, extortionists, members of banned organisations and target killers were jailed, and 500 kilogrammes of explosive material, several suicide jackets, arms and ammunition, mortar shells, stolen vehicles and Rs0.4 million fake currency were recovered.

After these achievements, crimes, particularly terror attacks, dwindled down to a great extent in Peshawar.

The ceremony
