LG by-elections: ‘Scrutiny to be completed today’

ECP Public Relation Officer Sohail Khan said at least 600 candidates will contest the polls

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will complete scrutiny of papers submitted by candidates contesting by-elections at district and tehsil levels in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Monday (today).


The ECP had earlier announced the schedule of local government elections. ECP Public Relation Officer Sohail Khan told The Express Tribune, “The scrutiny process began on January 2, and will be completed today.” He said at least 600 candidates will contest the polls that included 12 district and eight tehsil council seats.
