NAP Progress: Loudspeaker ban will be enforced, says CM

Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal were also present

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday presided over a meeting to review progress in the implementation of the National Action Plan in the province. He said the government was taking all necessary measures to improve law and order and to protect life and property of citizens. He said use of modern technology for the purpose was being encouraged. Sharif said no leniency would be tolerated in the enforcement of laws banning use of loudspeakers and wall-chalking. “Those found delivering provocative speeches will be prosecuted and punished,” he said. He said terrorism and extremism would be rooted out and establishment of a tolerant society ensured. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal were also present.
