Bogus Case: Court hauls up SHO
The court has sought a reply from both the officials by January 8
RAWALPINDI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has summoned a station house officer (SHO) for registering a fake case. The ATC judge Asif Majeed Awan on Friday rejected an unconditional apology tendered by former Waris Khan Police Station SHO Inspector Abid Mehmood and sub-inspector Mumtaz Khan for registering a bogus FIR against two labourers. The court has sought a reply from both the officials by January 8. The court had acquitted the two labourers last week after the charges against them were proved to be false.
