Sindh information adviser Maula Bux Chandio raised the question of impartiality in implementation of the National Action Plan with reference to revelations made by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief.
"I am not claiming this but Khan, himself, has disclosed that a Taliban was given treatment at his hospital in Lahore," he said, talking to the media and during his speeches at two separate programmes in Hyderabad on Saturday. "Dr Asim Hussain's case is being heard in the court," he responded to a query, adding that, "Those [Khan] who have admitted [of giving treatment to a Taliban] should also face action under the National Action Plan." In an interview on a television channel Khan confessed to receiving a letter of recognition from Afghan Taliban who expressed gratitude to him for the medical facility. "The NAP should be equal for all," remarked Chandio.

He also complained to the federal government of hiding the existence of Daesh especially after arrests of their terrorists from Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Rangers' powers
Chandio reiterated that they are not against the security operation but emphasised that the reservations expressed by the Sindh Assembly and conveyed through a letter by the Sindh government should be addressed. "There is no war [happening] between Sindh and the Centre [over the issue of Rangers]. We hope that the matter will be resolved through negotiations.
Press conference: Rangers operation in Karachi must continue: Chandio
He warned that whoever will obstruct the involvement of ordinary people in the governance, a reference to the democratic dispensation, will be doomed. "Making the people lose faith in politics and democracy will only open the door for dictatorship."
Chandio also complained that the federal government favours only the Punjab as it gets represented at international forums and in the business dealings with China. "This happens whenever the N-league [Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz] comes to power."
