Improving Healthcare: ‘80% facilities provided by private sector’
Dr Abdul Wahab Farooqui linked the quality healthcare system with a strong economy
SUKKUR:
Health experts have stressed the need for an integrated child health services system and strengthening of a referral system for controlling the mother, infant and child mortality and providing quality healthcare to children. Speaking at an event organised by the Health Communication Project (HCP) Sukkur on Monday, District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Abdul Wahab Farooqui linked the quality healthcare system with a strong economy and said that all resources are being utilised to provide treatment facilities, whereas prevention of diseases is being ignored. The private sector is providing 80 per cent of the healthcare facilities to the people, he claimed.
