ISLAMABAD: The Whistle Blower Protection Bill, proposed by NAB, has been approved by PM Nawaz Sharif and is to be placed before the federal cabinet for further action. The law and justice ministry proposed that the Whistle Blowing Protection Act is imperative for countries under the United Nations Convention Against Corruption and legislation on this matter is an obligation on Pakistan. A document enumerating measures adopted by NAB has revealed that the Bureau has also planned to establish an Anti-Corruption Academy in Islamabad.
