Active duties: Over 2,000 people tasked to clean the capital
Nearly 2,000 workers are working under the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to address sanitation problems to ensure clean environment in the federal capital.
The staff working under Directorate of Sanitation of the Capital Development Authority is actively discharging duties to remove garbage and other waste from both public and private sectors to ensure cleanliness in this modern city of the country.
The residents living in the government and private sectors were enjoying the facilities of sanitation without facing any difficulty, an official said.
Over 600 staffers are specifically performing duties in public and private sector for removal of waste and garbage. There are loaders, lifters, and other equipment to assist in the cleaning.
Besides others, there are Maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical, Environment, and Water Supply Directorates for resolving the problems of the people living in the government and private sectors.
