Flood relief: Canadian Red Cross to continue supporting K-P
CRC vows to provide maximum relief and assistance to flood affected areas in KP with special advocacy campaigns.

The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) vowed to provide maximum relief and assistance to flood affected areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) with special advocacy campaigns.
The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) delegation headed by Country Representative Nasir Khan and Canadian consultant Dr Naeem Ismail met with Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) K-P Chairman Dr Sher Mohammad Khan on Sunday to discuss issues regarding provision of health and preventive aspects, trainings of disaster management and disaster reduction besides capacity building of staff.
Nasir Khan informed Dr Sher that the CRC has supported the province since the 2005 earthquake and in the floods.
He said the organization is committed to provide support and assistance to disaster-prone areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Dr Sher Mohammad Khan requested that the Canadian delegation continue ongoing projects in the health sector, including health & preventive education and the formation of Mobile Health Units (MHU) in Swat and other areas.
