Behind Bars: Afghan national sentenced to 29 years

Mujibur Rahman was convicted for possessing explosives and other equipment and using them in acts of terrorism

PESHAWAR: An anti-terrorism court sentenced an Afghan national who was convicted for possessing explosives and other equipment and using them in acts of terrorism to 29 years in prison. His name is Mujibur Rahman. It was also decided that Rahman’s property would be confiscated. ATC judge Ibrahim Khan also ordered Rahman be deported to Afghanistan after he completes his sentence. The court was informed the CTD police had raided a house on Dalazak Road on May 1 and found 30 sacks of explosives, 70 detonators and other equipment in the house. The court announced the sentence.
