Social Crisis: Justice Alam laments moral decline
A culture of morality promotes tolerance and human harmony in the society, Justice Alam said
ISLAMABAD:
While lamenting the moral decline of society, Supreme Court judge Mushir Alam has called for promoting the culture of moral principles. He expressed these views at a certificate awarding ceremony held after the conclusion of a one-week training course on Effective Administrative Financial Management for senior civil judges at the Federal Judicial Academy Islamabad on Saturday. “It is not just the moral crisis of our society we lament, but the tragic fact is this that we are not sensitive to the moral decadence within our country,” he said urging people to revert to moral and ethical values. A culture of morality promotes tolerance and human harmony in the society, Justice Alam said explaining, “morally bankrupt societies become litigious and a culture of litigious becomes synonymous with them as we see and experience in our society nowadays.”
