Rawat murder-rape case: Suspects’ remand extended till Jan 2

All four suspects were produced before Civil Judge Yasir Arafat on Saturday

RAWALPINDI: A lower court on Saturday extended the judicial remand of four suspects for their alleged involvement in the rape and murder of a 24-year-old woman in the jurisdiction of Rawat Police Station. A woman* was allegedly raped and murdered in a residential flat. Police said the victim was thrown out of the apartment’s window. Police had arrested a suspect * the same day in an injured condition from the premises while reportedly trying to escape. Three other suspects* were arrested a week later. All four suspects were produced before Civil Judge Yasir Arafat on Saturday. The court extended their judicial remand till January 02, 2016 and ordered the police to produce the challan at the next hearing.
