Likely transfer: Special prosecutor moves court

Special prosecutor Mushtaq Jahangiri has approached SHC against his likely removal from Dr Asim’s case. In his petition, Jahangiri alleged that former IO, Rao Zulfiqar, was replaced by DSP Hussain, who destroyed all the evidence against the PPP leader. Jahangiri revealed he had opposed the IO’s change before the ATC, adding that, due to this stance, the case would be taken from him. He pleaded the court pass a restraining order against his likely transfer. However, the court did not find any urgency in the matter and will hear the case at a later date.
