Apart from Jami's directorial India's 'Court' is also out of the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Moor -- Pakistan's contender for ‘Foreign Language Film' category at the 88th Academy Awards -- is out of the race.
While Jami's directorial is not competing for an Oscar anymore, nine films have advanced to the next round of voting, according to the Oscars website.
Here is the updated list:

Moor submitted for Oscar consideration
Earlier, Jami was ecstatic upon hearing news of his film being shortlisted for an Oscar and was grateful to The Hollywood Reporter for pitting Moor for the Academy Award.
“I am gaining courage to believe in my style of filmmaking,” he had said, adding it’s important to make movies that just don’t revolve around ‘what’s in’. “Knowing the Oscars, it takes a huge campaign to get nominated and I’m not sure if we can make the cut. But being considered by THR is uplifting.”

While Moor won't be bringing an Oscar home, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness, which is competing in the 'Best Documentary – Short Subject' category, has advanced to next phase.
The documentary follows the story of an eighteen-year-old girl, a rare survivor of an honour killing attempt, who falls in love and lives to tell the tale. The contenders for 'Best Documentary - Short Subject' have now been narrowed down to 10 of which five will earn an Oscar nomination.

Also, He Named Me Malala -- which was shortlisted for an Oscar in the 'Documentary - Feature' category -- has moved on to the next phase. Fifteen films in this category will be part of the voting process for the 88th Academy Awards. One hundred twenty-four films were originally submitted in the category.
Apart from Moor, India's official entry Court has also been evicted from the battle of the best. The 88th Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on January 14, 2016.
