Police protection: Security to be increased during Rabiul Awwal
The IG called for strict security for gatherings and processions on the occasion

Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali directed on Sunday that extraordinary security measures be taken in the province during the month of Rabiul Awwal. He also called for preparing a contingency plan especially for Rabiul Awwal 8 and 12, according to a police statement. The IG called for strict security for gatherings and processions on the occasion. He instructed that technical sweeping and the process of clearance should be completed 24 hours before the day. Jamali said that scheduled meetings should be held with the Ulema, prominent religious and political figures.
