Immunisation: DCO inaugurates polio drive
The DCO said it was important to cover every child
BAHAWALPUR:
District Coordination Officer Imran Sikandar Baloch on Saturday inaugurated a polio immunisation campaign in Bahawalpur by vaccinating a child at Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Talking to newsmen after the ceremony, the DCO said 587,083 children of the district would be vaccinated under the drive that would be formally launched on December 14. He said vaccination teams for a door-to-door drive had been formed. He said the teams will be accompanied by police for their security. The DCO said it was important to cover every child. The DCO said 1,032 mobile teams would cover homes, bus stands and railway stations. He said 15 teams would be deployed in bazaars. He said the drive would conclude on December 16.
